Good for kids
Gill (the owner) was very friendly and helpful from when we first called to book through to when we were packing up to leave. Thank you Gill. The site is very peaceful and it is off the beaten track. It's a lovely setting in the forest. Although there are no showers the toilet facilities were very very well kept and clean. There is a lovely little enclosure in the forest where you can have a bigger campfire with hay bails forming a little circle around it. This was complimented by 2 clay ovens next to the area. My wife and I have had a great time there this weekend and will be keeping an eye on when the next availability is for family camping so that we can take the kids next time. Would thoroughly recommend it to any couples or families who are looking for an off the beaten track camping trip.

Great site; very secluded and peaceful. Right on the edge of the forest and brilliant for cycling. Very friendly and helpful owner. Facilities fairly basic compared to some sites (no showers), but more than enough for a weekend away.
We had a lovely night here, the facilities and people were great, and the security of the campsite would make it perfect for families. The location couldn't be better for walking and cycling round Sherwood forest. Would defiantly recommend.
