I have been a student and fan of the Wexford Arthur Murray Studio ever since we walked through their doors 10 years ago. The entire Pittsburgh franchise group is amazing! Within a very short amount of time, my husband and I found ourselves competing in an international competition in NYC, and we actually medaled! (All are proudly displayed on our den wall!) My true reason for considering dance was that generally speaking I consider myself pretty much of a klutz. Years later I must admit that now when I trip over my own feet I fall gracefully. :-) Seriously though, I would recommend dance to ANYONE looking for a challenge either physically, mentally or both. I now have the confidence to get on any dance floor knowing that I probably dance better than most of the other people there (unless of course the other people are my instructors!). My husband and I ALWAYS get compliments from onlookers and yes, it is an amazing ego boost. You need not have a partner to take lessons. In addition to your weekly private lessons there is a wide selection of group lessons that offer an opportunity for you to learn how to dance with different people (everyone has their own quirks), and learn new dance steps! The instructors and staff at Arthur Murray are just amazing and we consider them to be family. Check them out - I promise you will be happy with the results!
All the instructors are excellent. Their group dance lessons are as informative as the private lessons..And the private lessons are excellent. Dana our instructor is the best, very patient and easy to work with . The studio atmosphere is extremely warm and freindly. Everyone there trys to make you feel at home and part of the family. Overall my wife and I feel we have recieved our moneys worth. Their teaching methods work!!!

We are a couple who have been students at the Wexford studio of Arthur Murray for three years. We both were bad dancers and decided to take lessons because we always felt awkward and uncomfortable when we danced. Within the first 6 months we became totally comfortable even if we were the only ones on the dance floor. Now when we go to weddings, resorts or social events we have a great time and get lots of compliments. Recently we went on a cruise and many people came up to us and told us that they loved to watch us dance...some even asked if we were professionals! For this we have Arthur Murray Wexford to thank. We did check out other dance schools in the area and we believe that Arthur Murray Wexford is the best. Quality instruction and a wide variety of group classes, we believe, makes Arthur Murray Wexford a great value. Also, since we travel a lot and Arthur Murray lessons are transferable, we have benefited from taking lessons at Arthur Murray studios in California, Texas and London, England!
I would avoid this company at all costs. The instructors were very unprofessional and wasted more time talking than teaching. They also wanted me to sign an expensive contract and they were very deceptive about it. I don't recommend AMDS at all.
