The special and interesting is you will take a small train uphill to enjoy the outdoor Onsen there. Very good for summer days if you want to stay cool in the mountain. They have a van to pick up visitors and have dinner inside the hotel if you don’t want to drive in some dangerous mountain road at night. Their dinner was great too.

It should be popular in the past. Facilities are a bit old but the service is ok while special dinner sets are taken in near restaurant. The tram is interesing.

The hotel is a bit old, but the atmosphere is wonderful. There is outdoor bath which goes by cable car from the hotel, the view from there is spectacular.
Same old ryokan, onsen still good but not in very good condition, which requires a but of repair in parricular the outdoor onsen facilities
