The mission of the Aish Center of Greater Washington is to bring vitality and meaning to life through Jewish wisdom and community. We offer classes, social programs and Shabbat services for those seeking to deepen their understanding of Judaism. We are a center for Jewish learning and a warm and welcoming community of people with diverse Jewish backgrounds. The Aish Center of Greater Washington is part of the global network of Aish HaTorah, which includes of dozens of branches and programs. Its headquarters are directly across from the Western Wall in Jerusalem. Aish HaTorah’s goal is to revitalize the Jewish people, and is regarded as a world leader in creative Jewish educational programs and leadership training. The Aish Center of Greater Washington is led by Rabbi Baruch Frankel, executive director and rabbi. He and his wife, Shani, and their four children live in Rockville, Md.
