Since founded in 1997, Ashraya has had a simple mission: To create a happy, prosperous and safeguarded environment for disadvantaged senior citizens, children, and women. Ashray means to give shelter, and true to its name our non-profit organization has made it our goal to provide shelter, support, education, rural upliftment and food free of cost to those elders, children and women who cannot afford it for themselves so that they can lead a good and healthy life. Ashraya works to achieve its goals by providing first-hand counseling, conducting awareness workshops and administering drives to help farmers, women and children alike; and by setting up old age homes for the elderly. Ashraya is more than just a non-profit organisation, it is a home. A home not only for all destitute men, women and children who need a helping hand but also a home to those who are or want to become that helping hand. With a vocation to put bigger and happier smiles on faces that deserve it, we urge all who are willing to come and join us to become a part of the Ashraya family and follow our motto in providing selfless service and giving limitless love to those who have been denied it.
