Founded in 1963, Automobili Lamborghini is headquartered in Sant’Agata Bolognese, a town near Bologna, Italy, and produces some of the most sought-after super sports cars in the world. The Huracán range with a V10 engine debuted in 2014 with the Coupé model, followed by the Spyder and the rear drive model in 2015. The 2017 Geneva Motor Show saw the launch of the Performante model, a super sports car with a combination of new ultra-lightweight materials, an active aerodynamic system featuring Aero vectoring, a dedicated chassis set-up, an all-wheel-drive system and further enhancements to the powertrain. The Aventador S, unveiled in late 2016, is the evolution of the V12 model launched in 2011. It has a new aerodynamic design, rebuilt suspension, increased power and a completely redeveloped driving dynamics. The S denotes enhanced versions of pre-existing Lamborghini models. Since 2017, it is also available in the Roadster version. The Urus was also launched in 2017, the first Super SUV, and it has created a new segment for luxury cars and a reference point in terms of power, performance, driving dynamics, design, luxury and everyday usability. In 2018, Lamborghini designed the future with the new Aventador SVJ, in which spearheading technology compounds with an exceptional design. Aventador SVJ is the first car that combines all the best technologies developed to date by Lamborghini engineers and the result is an absolutely perfect, safe and compelling performance. January 2019 marked the unveiling of the Huracán EVO, Lamborghini’s most successful V10 evolution. It stands out for its capacity to anticipate reactions and to cater to the driver’s desires. In March, the Huracán EVO Spyder and the Aventador SVJ Roadster made their debut appearance at the Geneva International Motor Show. With 145 dealerships throughout the world, Automobili Lamborghini has created in its half century a series of dream cars. Famous for making cars as sleek as they are expensive, Automobili Lamborghini (a subsidiary of Volkswagen 's AUDI unit) caters to the elite consumer. For a mere $300,000, you can buy one of the 400 or so Lamborghini Murciélagos manufactured each year. Tired of poor acceleration? With a top speed of more than 200 mph, the Murciélago's 6.5-liter, 12-cylinder power plant (which delivers 630 horsepower -- more than five Toyota Corollas or two Ford V-8s) can rocket you from zero to 60 mph in less than four seconds. But don't burn too much rubber -- the Murciélago's Pirelli tires cost more than $600 each.
