Avolites is a globally recognised lighting and video control company based in West London. We manufacture dimmers and lighting consoles used in live events all over the world. The company was founded in 1978 when Ian Walley was working as a touring stage lighting engineer and he carried an AVO (Amps Volts and Ohms) test meter, this was a much sought after piece of test equipment and Ian became known as AVOLITES. He and Lighting Designer, Clive Stanley along with two other engineers, found that the equipment available was unsuitable for life on the road and began building consoles and dimming systems which were properly designed for daily touring and they founded Avolites Production Company Ltd. Avolites is on a mission to offer one complete visual solution. The boundaries between lighting and video are fusing, meaning that rather than programming each fixture individually, a light can be treated like a pixel in a 3D picture incorporating screens, projectors and LED nodes.
