BEA SRL started production in 1964 and has since then emerged to be one of the most important companies in the world for production of bolting materials (stud-bolts, nuts, hex bolts, cap screws and special fasteners) for the energy industry. Bea’s production capacity is approximately 400 tons per month, from the smallest to the largest dimensions commonly used in bolting materials, from 3⁄8” to 12” Imperial and from M8 to M300 Metric. The product profile also includes the manufacture of special items to the customer’s own specific drawings, for which Bea is equipped with the most sophisticated machinery available on the market. In recent years, Bea has focused on the constant increase in demand of exotic materials and is now the market leader in the supply of bolting in nickel-alloys, stainless and super-duplex. This in particular is thanks to their state- of-the-art forging and heat treatment plants, with eight presses and six furnaces. A great advantage for the company is the location and the capabilities that Bea has to offer to customers. Being located in the vicinity of Milan provides an ideal position for European and overseas shipments and easy access by customers for the rigorous inspection and testing required by today’s projects. All testing activities at Bea are executed in-house, including all destructive and non-destructive testing. The fact that Bea’s production and testing take place in-house guarantees total control on the quality and integrity of our products, and on the delivery times agreed with the customer. Two important milestones in the company’s history were the certifications for ISO 9001 in 1992 and PED in 2009. Over the past 50 years, the company has become a household name for bolting equipment as Bea’s stock is approximately 2,800 tons of raw material and 1,500 tons of in-house produced finished items. For the North Sea area they also have a large distribution centre in Holland (Bea Nederland BV) conveniently located close to port of Rotterdam, where standard and exotic grades of stud-bolts and nuts can be supplied with very quick delivery times. Bea is specialized in supplying major projects and is an official suppliers to some of the most important international companies, such as Shell, Chevron, BP, KCO, Tengizchevroil, Total, ENI, Woodside, Aramco, Reliance, etc., and major EPC contractors including KBR, JGC, SK Engineering, Saipem, Technip, Larsen & Toubro, Fluor, Petrofac, Hyundai, NPCC, Foster Wheeler, etc. Further, the company also supplies major equipment manufacturers such as producers of valves, filters, pressure vessels, heat exchangers etc., for standard and special materials. All this is possible due to the strong sales force and network that Bea has built up over the past half century.
