Our mission is to make buildings better, and we support industry in designing and operating buildings that perform well economically, socially, and environmentally. We do this through providing independent testing of products and buildings throughout the construction industry; the sale, calibration, and rental of instruments; market intelligence; information; and consultancy services for design, construction, facilities management, and manufacturing. As a non-profit distributing member-based Association, we also publish best practice guides, hold an extensive library and run training and events. We have laboratories and offices throughout the world including UK (Bracknell and Preston), China (Beijing), USA (Chicago) and France (Lille). BSRIA Ltd. operates as a non-profit organization. The Organization offers building compliance, business strategy, facility management, market intelligence, research, testing, certification, troubleshooting, low carbon engineering, and information services. BSRIA serves its members in the United Kingdom. BSRIA engineering, technical & market research experts provide independent & practical help in design, construction. BSRIA is a test, instruments, research and consultancy organisation, providing specialist services in construction and building services.As a non-profit distributing, member-based association, clients can be assured of our independent approach and authoritative reputation. Any profits made are invested in our on-going research programme, producing industry recognised best practice guidance.BSRIA (owned by The Building Services Research and Information Association) was founded in 1955 and had a turnover of £11.8 million in 2012-13. We employ 180 people at our head office in Bracknell (UK), at regionally based construction compliance offices throughout the UK; at offices in China, North America, Germany, France and Spain; and have Associates in Northern Ireland, Japan, Brazil and Australia.
