Learn to sail in Boston, Massachusetts and/or Warwick, Rhode Island. Black Rock Sailing School has been the only sailing school in New England to be nationally recognized by the American Sailing Association as "Outstanding School" and "Outstanding Instructor" EVERY year since opening their doors in 2008. Classes run seven days per week out of New England locations, April - October, and in the Virgin Islands November - April. With a focus on quality - not quantity, customers receive world-class sailing instruction in daysailing, coastal cruising, bareboat charter certification, women's - only classes, coastal navigation, catamaran cruising, docking & tight quarters boat handling, performance cruising, "adventure" cruising experiences along the US East Coast, and offshore sailing experiences down to the Caribbean. Their sailing club fleet consists of late model Harbor 20s, Colgate 26s, J80s, Hunter 33s, J105s, and a Beneteau 41. Customers enjoy reciprocity between all New England sailing school locations, as well as access to yachts based in the Virgin Islands for bareboat charters, sailing vacations, and ASA certification courses. Black Rock only hires career instructors who have proven track records both in the classroom and out on the water. Our senior staff not only teach sailing, they offer professional yacht delivery services throughout New England and the Caribbean, as well as yacht brokerage services for our graduates seeking to purchase a boat of their own.
