A History Museum and Historic Village serving Buffalo-Niagara based in 19th century Western New York with 11 historic structures on our 35-acre campus. Our focus is agriculture and the rise of suburbanization. The museum complex features 10 major exhibitions and a research library and archives. Our collections building houses 40,000 artifacts. There is so much to learn, live and love! Buffalo Niagara Heritage Village is an educational institution whose mission is to preserve and interpret the story of Buffalo Niagara for the people of today and the community of tomorrow. We achieve our mission through historical research and interpretation, preservation and management of our collections and historic buildings, and creative activities and events. BNHV is funded in part by the Town of Amherst and Erie County.
