Beyond the standard programme, CAPTRON is a specialist for individual customer and application solutions. CAPTRON Electronic GmbH was founded by Reinhard Bellm in Munich in 1983. At first, business focused on capacitive fill level measuring systems. Since 1992, optical sensors have also been included in the product range. In 1994, capacitive SENSORswitches for the industrial sector and traffic engineering were added, and this has since been one of CAPTRON‘s main business segments. In mid 2006, CAPTRON also entered an entirely new sector with HeliCommand,a control and stabilisation system for remote-controlled, unmanned helicopters. In July 2008, CAPTRON relocated its company head office to Olching, 20 kilometres west of Munich. CAPTRON Electronic has been manufacturing electronic capacitive sensors in german production for over 30 years. CAPTRON focused on the requirements and application in the automation, traffic and transport and building technology sectors. Based on the same operating principle as capacitive sensors, SENSORswitches, level sensors and the "safeCAP" safety technology form part of the product range of the sensor manufacturer. Furthermore, CAPTRON develops and successfully produces LED signaling technology and optical sensors. The development of innovative solutions is an additional strength of CAPTRON. When it comes to customers' special solutions and requirements, CAPTRON can at all times be relied upon as a competent partner.
