HOPE. LOVE. HOME... SANCTUARY
Chimpanzee Sanctuary Northwest (CSNW) is currently home to the Cle Elum Seven - a group of chimpanzees releases from biomedical research in June, 2008. We have seen them transform in their years in sanctuary, and we love to share stories, videos and photos illustrating their individual personalities on our website and blog. The sanctuary is located on 90 acres of farm and forested land at the base of the Cascade mountains, due east of Seattle. CSNW is one of only a handful of sanctuaries in the country that cares for chimpanzees. We are currently working to expand in order to provide a home for more chimpanzees. Our mission is to provide lifetime quality care for formerly abused or exploited chimpanzees, while advocating for great apes through education and collaboration.
