It all began when I heard a friend of mine who is a doctor complaining about lab coats. The problem was that he wasn’t even motivated to work wearing them. “Why is no one making a well-designed, cool lab coat?”he said. to answer this simple question, my journey began: I decided to re-invent lab coats. CEO Arata Ohwa. We redefined the lab coat that we always knew to a new stylish functional lab coat. a lab coat that is tailored with the highest standards and made with the best fabrics while being stylish yet simple in design. thats why we called it “classico”. Doctors in Japan loved our coats, so we started our global website and began selling world wide, and later winning the grand prix prize for the U.S. IDA international design awards in the medical category. While in the process we noticed that stethoscopes were also in a similar position. with the motivation boost from the success with lab coats we turned towards stethoscopes and came up with a compact and stylish stethoscope the “U scope” that ended up winning the Gold Award of the IF Design Awards 2017 and also winning the best of the best of the Red Dot Design Awards 2017. We in Classico want to Bring comfort and style to people at work, and make their everyday lives happier. We hope to be a global brand that comes in mind when somebody asks “what brand designs lab coats with style?” We also always thrive to keep becoming better and exceed our customers and our own expectations while bringing happiness to people at work where ever they are in the world.
