Atria was established in 1968 thanks to an idea of the Atria brothers, competent and meticulous building contractors. The need to create a new company originated with the after-effects of a violent earthquake that shook the Belice Valley. The need to rebuild from the rubble of a social fabric, devastated by the earthquake, was the imperative incentive to pursue a new productive activity. Great optimism and unshakable determination contributed to the real social and economic reconstruction of the area and Atria played its part by offering resources, skills and its background of considerable experience as builders. Production, for the first few years, took place in a large workshop. The first industrial plant was then built in 1978 with a modern structure, cutting edge technology and innovative machinery to give a new imprint to Atria brand production. In 2007, Atriathermika was born, the first insulating paint produced in Italy and the first of a series of products that changed the face of paint and coating production both nationally and internationally. All products came to be guaranteed and tested to the standard of Atria Wellness-Care Technology, the ultimate in safety, health and energy savings. In 2008, the Atriafloor resin flooring system was introduced, the first water-based in Italy line, a still evolving design project and a hallmark of ‘Made in Italy’ in the world. With a focus on innovation and growth, new technologies have recently been developed (2014/15) specifically for energy conservation and environmental sustainability, without forgetting the quality of ‘Made in Italy’ design. Sofia and Grace are two decorative paints that open a new market sector created by Atria and available to everyone: thermo-decorative paints that are a mix of beauty, technology, decoration and well-being, which bear the signature of Atria genius. Atria Made In Paint Colorificio Atria S.r.l. manufactures coatings and paint products. The Company provides varnishes, lacquers, enamels, and other allied products. Colorificio Atria serves customers in Italy.
