Overview
The Irvine Colts Baseball program is designed to have a team-first attitude. We work out in Irvine and we have our teams participate in the National Championship events such as USA Baseball and Perfect Game. We bring out our younger athletes to events such as these, which allows them to come out and showcase their ability and allow the College coaches in attendance to see the progression and development of each student-athlete from 14U thru 18U. We work diligently to ensure we are putting our players in a position where they can be successful. Our organization is very much committed to the process. The Irvine Colts Baseball program is a complete developmental program. We play games throughout the week and weekend with the mindset to have our players work on their game and get better, again we cannot stress it enough as we are all about the process. We are not one dimensional in our thought process when we play in large tournaments, we believe there is greater value in the player getting exposure and maximizing there opportunities. We have a great approach to playing at the next level by communicating with our players letting them know that we run at "game speed" every time we step out on to that field. There is a progression and transition from 14U thru 18U. The more advanced players are offered the opportunity to participate in the larger events which affords them to continue to showcase their skill set. The Irvine Colts use their weekly workouts to develop the younger players in the program to get them prepared for the next level. Playing in large travel ball tournaments, such as the National Team Championships, can add a large amount of pressure for players who are looking to play college baseball. The added pressure of having dozens of scouts and college coaches can wear on a player and we are cognizant of that. We have a unique opportunity to help develop each player both mentally and physically and we take full advantage of it.
