Community Montessori Charter School is a public Montessori school opening in 2013. The school will be opening with three Montessori learning center locations, in Escondido and Santee. Each classroom will have a maximum of 26 students with one teacher and a teacher's assistant. Each classroom will have the full Montessori complement of materials and a Montessori trained teacher. In addition to a diverse interdisciplinary curriculum, students will participate in a variety of hands-on projects. These will include gardening, model construction, community service, field trips, and more.
