Guiding businesses and individuals through all archaeological and heritage issues arising during, or in the lead up to the planning process. Archaeology can be an unavoidable aspect of a development project, however, we are on hand to deal with this in a timely manner, and enable our clients to progress. It is Cursus Archaeology’s mission to bring integrity to every project we are involved in. Cursus Archaeology will always explain from the very start the potential eventualities and their associated costs, in order that clients may make informed decisions; archaeology can be a confusing and mysterious industry, with many potentialities such as finding remains which aren't expected or are more significant than planned - but we feel it is our duty to dispel the myths - and we are always clear from the outset that further archaeological work may potentially be required, pending consultation with the County Council archaeological decision-maker, and what these costs could be. If not carried out to a sufficient standard, planning applications can be refused, which is usually due to poor fieldwork, lack of staff training and cost-cutting. This can happen even with large, ISO standard companies. This is why we pledge balance in all things, and believe in being straightforward from the start. A tell-tale sign is when companies put in a much lower quote, or offer free work, only to tack on high hidden or unexpected additional charges, which cost clients more in the long-run. We will never allow pricing to compromise performance - we always strive to maintain quality and value, and to be known as the most reliable, dependable and trusted archaeology firm in the UK. Cursus Archaeology has worked with individual, company and co-operative clients throughout the UK, from whom we have received high praise. Cursus Archaeology has insurance policies in place.
