Since 2005, Dr. Sketchy’s has been the name in alternative drawing. From illegal flashmobs to the Museum of Modern Art, Dr. Sketchy’s has brought artists a rule-breaking cocktail of dames, drinking and drawing. With the recent acquisition of the rights and license to open up a Dr. Sketchy branch in the Philippines, we hope you can help us spread the word and give Dr. Sketchy’s its very own Filipino flavor. Now, to give you a bit of backstory. Dr. Sketchy’s was founded in December 2005 by an illustrator and former artist’s model by the stage name Molly Crabapple. When artists think of “life drawing,” they think of sterile rooms, bad lighting, and bored, silent, models with nary a hint of personality. This is why Molly started Dr. Sketchy’s — on the basis of fair pay for models and boozy, decadent fun for all.
