The Elijah Centre is a social cognitive skills centre based in Northwest London (23 Temple Fortune Lane and 35 Great James Street). The Centre Offers both one-to-one therapy as well as Early Intervention Groups, social communication skills groups for mainstream school children & Secondary Schools at the Centre in North West London four mornings and four afternoons per week. We work with children to develop and enhance social, behavioural and cognitive skills. The Elijah centre also offers social and communication skills and executive functions groups that support children and teenagers who are already in mainstream school. Children and teenagers are organised into mixed abilities groups with mild challenge that allows them to showcase their strengths and learn how to be role models and benefit from good modelling from their peers as well as the therapists and mentors. Each group has principle focus of the skills the child needs to develop.  We meet with parents on a regular basis while children and teenagers receive practical homework. we work collaboratively with the parents and families of children at the Elijah Centre so that the skills they learn are transferable to all aspects of their lives and they are able to engage what they learn to develop necessary daily living skills. The Practice is renowned for their holistic approach: Everyone is treated as an individual and receives a tailored programme to meet his or her needs. Our aim is to develop the interaction and cooperation of Children & Youths and aid them to develop Social Awareness, Executive Functioning and Emotional Intelligence. We utilise PROSCIG©, a pioneering, individualised holistic intervention programme for children with social and communication challenges in the UK.
