The Embassy of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago in Washington, D.C. is the official representative of the Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago in the United States of America. Among the services provided are the promotion of trade, investment, tourism, passport, visa and consular services, including assistance to nationals, legalizing documents, verifying the authenticity of medical certificates, interviewing applicants for permanent residence in Trinidad and Tobago, interviewing, checking applications from former nationals who are applying for restoration of Trinidad and Tobago citizenship and verification of documents pertaining to the shipment of human remains. Cultural Section The Cultural Section of the Embassy provides information materials on Trinidad and Tobago’s rich and diverse culture and regularly gives presentations to the public and to visiting high school and college student groups. It arranges cultural events and corresponds with the public through its website and mailing list. The Cultural Section also coordinates participation in the Embassy Adoption Program, an award winning multicultural enrichment program designed for sixth-grade students in public schools in Washington, DC. Student Section The Student Section of the Embassy of Trinidad and Tobago is tasked with steering the affairs of those students that are sponsored by the Government of Trinidad and Tobago to attend university in the U.S. In this regard, it serves as liaison for the students, their respective institutions and the Government of Trinidad and Tobago. Please note that the Student Section does not arrange for scholarships from the Government of Trinidad and Tobago on behalf of students.
