Weaving mill

Enschede Textielstad is a sustainable industrial weaving mill in the Netherlands that produces garment and interior textiles with local and recycled yarns. The mill was founded in 2013 with the goal to make sustainable fabrics accessible to everyone. All our fabrics are produced from recycled resources, such as recycled denim, recycled workwear and upcycled cotton. In our industrial weaving mill we use recycled yarns to produce fashion and upholstery fabrics. We either use our shuttle looms to weave a selvedge fabric, or rapier looms to produce bigger batches. Wether you order 10 or 10.000 meters, fabric is always custom made in our own factory in Enschede. None of Enschede Textielstad’s fabrics are dyed, the fabric gets its colour from the recycled content in the yarns. Dyeing is one of the most polluting steps in textile production, that’s why we chose to skip it and save lots of water and chemicals by doing so. We lower our environmental impact even more by a production- on- demand model, which prevents us from producing waste and enables us to adjust our fabrics to the customer’s needs.
