Freethinking, Reflective, Imaginative,Developing Artists (FRIDA), Inc. uses art to promote higher education. FRIDA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that sparks the intellectual and artistic curiosity of middle school students through summer programming. Annually, FRIDA recruits high achieving college and graduate students to intern with the organization and lead summer programming. Our staff members serve as exemplary role models for participants and act as mentors to our underserved middle school participants. FRIDA's art programs foster creativity, higher-level critical and analytical thinking, and instill the value and commitment to higher education. Since its founding in 2006, FRIDA, Inc,. has served 550+ middle school students and 140+ exceptional college and graduate students have volunteered with the organization.
