FedTech was born in 2015 as part of the National Science Foundation's Innovation Corps (I-Corps) program when we saw an opportunity to commercialize the ~$150B/year in federally-funded R&D. Many inventions we use today were created as part of a federally-funded R&D project including the what we know today as SIRI, Google Maps, GPS, the internet, baby formula, lithium-ion batteries, smartphone cameras, and countless more. The FedTech team consists of seasoned entrepreneurs; early-stage startup investors, advisors and mentors; former U.S. government leaders in the rapid innovation space; former CXOs; and all-stars. Our primary sponsor, the National Security Innovation Network (formerly known as MD5), works to build networks of innovators that generate new solutions to national security problems. We provide solutions to entrepreneurs and startups through our Startup Studio and Accelerator programs. We offer solutions to our corporate and government clients through our Scout, Custom Studio and Elevate programs.
