First Steps Vocational Training Centre offers alternative provision placements to schools and academies within Lincolnshire. Our offer includes vocational training to enhance your curriculum and our new Step Up intervention placements for students at risk of permanent exclusion. We deliver vocational courses in construction, hair and beauty, IT, business and administration and health and social care combined with personal and social development. The curriculum also incorporates enrichment and non-accedited learning such as careers education, PSHE, independent living, healthy living, ICT, community projects and educational visits. These activities are planned to increase motivation, social skills, self-confidence and to improve behaviour. Placements and short term interventions are tailored to support the individual needs of every young person.
