MISSION The mission of FirstCARE is to provide coordinated, integrated, personalized, state-of-the-art virtual health care across the care continuum – acute and post-acute – using integrated proven technologies that result in optimal health outcomes for patients and care delivery economies for partners. VISION FirstCARE is committed to a collaborative model of Comprehensive, Coordinated Care (C3) that focuses on integrating and managing the 75+% of primary care that can be provided on a virtual basis and which is integrated with traditional face-to-face care provided by the patient’s preferred health providers. The intent is to augment the capabilities of traditional care delivery organizations by rapidly deploying an integrated solution for the virtual care component. Using this approach, FirstCARE services are fully integrated with the patient’s ongoing care delivery program – a distinctive difference in the market place from other telehealth initiatives. ABOUT US FirstCARE was initiated by Kevin Fickenscher, MD, a seasoned healthcare executive, visionary healthcare leader and primary care physician with extensive experience in strategic and operational development in large, complex healthcare organizations. He holds demonstrated expertise in healthcare informatics and telehealth/telemedicine/virtual health. He has been ranked among the Most Powerful Physician Executives in Healthcare by Modern Healthcare. Dr. Fickenscher is backed by a highly capable senior leadership team committed to the provision of quality care enable through virtual technologies. These leaders, along with FirstCARE partners, have extensive experience in the areas of clinical care, telemedicine, virtual health, population health, information systems, new/emerging healthcare technologies, instructional design, business development, value-based care and continuing medical/patient education.
