Welcome to Flamenco Dance School Maria Osende! Whether you are simply curios about flamenco dance, a keen flamenco dancer, an absolute beginner or are simply looking for enjoyable exercise, we have a class for you. We offer flamenco dance classes at all levels and ballet for adults in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Students of all ages are welcome. Flamenco dance is not only a uniquely creative way to stay active, it is also empowering, almost therapeutic. Classes Classes are small (average size is between 6-12 students per class) and attention is personalized, our teachers can adjust to your needs and commitments and also offer additional support classes if needed. There is a great atmosphere and camaraderie amongst the students, which are mostly women, although we love having men in class and would like to encourage more men to dance! Many students develop close friendships as part of this shared experience and we all have a lot of fun sharing this common passion. We welcome anyone who is interested in trying it out and joining us! The school offers primarily adult recreational classes requiring a commitment of just one or two hours a week, however it also offers more serious programs for intermediate and advanced levels, including professional development and performance opportunities for those students who have flamenco dance a core part of their lives.
