Fleur de Vie Yoga is a boutique studio of passionate yogis in the heart of St. Sulpice. - We offer engaging classes of Hatha, Ashtanga, Yin, Power Vinyasa & Pranayama breathing techniques. - We strive to find that balance between a class that pushes us to our limits physically, while uniting mind, body & soul. While we love a good workout, we are reminded to constantly dig deeper into the journey of achieving personal harmony & peace in our 'monkey minds'. - We limit class sizes to approximately 10 people in order to keep them intimate & allow for more 1-1 contact. We meditate at the beginning and end of each class, in our cosy yoga studio with soft lighting & essential oils. We take time after each class to share both a tea & our experiences of the practice, creating a sense of community. - Essentially ‘Yoga’ irefers to the physical practice of yoga postures (asanas), while focusing on breathing as a technique to calm the mind. It’s a discipline such as Pilates, Qi Gong, Tai Chi etc. The physical practice is only one of the 8-steps of ‘Yoga’ towards reaching enlightenment. The other 7 steps are focused on mastering our character and behaviour, towards ourselves, society and the universe. Whatever your state of mind prior to the class, or your level of competence during, you will discover for yourself that yoga leaves you feeling energized, yet centered & relaxed. Regular practice of yoga will: - Increase your flexibility, concentration & endurance - Tone your body & strengthen your core - Improve your posture & the alignment of your spine - Detox your organs & boost your immune system - Relieve your tension and calm your mind.
