www.footpathnc.org Footpath exists to create spaces where diverse communities build peaceful relationships that transform their environments. We seek to inspire reconciliation with God, people, and creation with a specific focus on empowering vulnerable populations. Footpaths are walking trails where pedestrians are legally protected to travel upon from one place to another in urban and rural settings. The name Footpath signifies safe and legal spaces where people are protected and have the freedom to access beautiful lands that will take them to new places. Primary Projects: 1. Footpath Farm A 40-acre farm located 10 minutes north of Brier Creek empowering refugee and inner city farmers to build health, entrepreneurial skill, income, and community. 2. Footpath Urban Gardens Community gardens revitalizing health and community in East Raleigh and Downtown Durham 3. Refuge of Hope Refuge of Hope is an interactive curriculum led by ROH certified counselors that restores health and dignity to those who have suffered abuse through human trafficking or persecution. 4. Ethnicitea Ethnicitea facilitates tea events that bring diverse peoples together to educate and advocate while conversing over this ancient drink. 5. Footpath Arts Space for diverse artists to gather, share their work, and learn from each other as they journey down different artistic paths. From rooms to dance and design, a recording studio, a weekly open mic night, and a monthly pow-wow for poets, writers, and song writers.
