WE ARE FRIENDS OF TUSKEGEE AIRMEN NATIONAL HISTORIC SITE. Our MISSION is to assist the National Park Service with its directive to preserve, commemorate and protect the Tuskegee Airmen National Historic Site by raising funds, drawing public awareness to this true American history, providing community outreach activities, organizing volunteers for special projects, and of course, making new friends for the Tuskegee Airmen National Historic Site. As Friends of the Tuskegee Airmen National Historic Site, we are dedicated to preserving this true American history on the actual site of this world-famous training, Moton Field in Tuskegee, Alabama. We salute the bravery and true heroism of America’s first African American military airmen and women training at Tuskegee Institute, now Tuskegee University. These pilots and thousands of their support personnel began a historic journey at Tuskegee that eventually changed the American landscape, bringing a new freedom to the world and shaping our national character.
