Frälsningsarmén i Sverige finns i cirka 100 städer/kommuner med 196 verksamheter. Det är församlingsverksamhet med gudstjänster och gruppaktiviteter för alla åldrar. Kåren/församlingen driver dessutom olika former av öppet socialt arbete i 49 av dessa verksamheter. Det öppna sociala arbetet riktar sig till olika målgrupper utifrån det lokala behovet. Det kan vara insatser för barn, ungdomar, arbetslösa, kvinnogrupper, äldre och ensamma och vi tar även emot ekonomiskt hjälpsökande. Dessutom finns 23 sociala institutioner varav de flesta med heldygnsomsorg för missbrukare, men även för föräldrar och barn samt ungdomar i riskzon.
