Futuro Prep is a public charter school that opened in 2010 on L.A.'s east side with kindergarten and first grade. The school has been adding a grade each year as our scholars grow. Futuro Prep is now in it's third year of opeartion, and has moved to Boyle Heights to accomodate the addition of third grade. As a college prep elementary school, Futuro Prep holds its students to rigorous academic standards and strict behavior expecations. The school has an extended school day (7:30 a.m - 3:45 p.m.) and is one of the few public schools in the Los Angeles area to use a team-teaching model that has two credentialed teachers for each classroom.
