Gibbons Motor Toys began operation in June of 1981 under the name of The Service Department. At this time, automotive repair and maintenance was the primary business.Tim Panasiuk (owner and general manager) expanded the company in 1989 and added a Mercury Marine® franchise. As the recreational side continued to grow, the operating name was changed in the early 1990s to Gibbons Auto and Leisure Centre. In 1995, the Ski-Doo franchise was added, and in 2000 a decision was made to discontinue the automotive repair side. This was done to allow for a better overall focus on the recreational business. This also produced the need for a new name: Gibbons Motor Toys. In May 2011, Gibbons Motor Toys opened its second location in Salmon Arm, British Columbia to expand the marine division of the business. With a dedicated and experienced staff, we at Gibbons Motor Toys strive to make doing business with us enjoyable. On a day to day basis, Gibbons Motor Toys staff continuously strive to meet your outdoor needs. We have a passion for the outdoors. From jet boating in seemingly impossible conditions to competing in local walleye tournaments to fishing off the west coast in KingFisher,’s heavy-gauge welded aluminum boats, there is truly something for everyone. We pride ourselves in rigging and accessorizing our boats to meet our customers’ specialized needs. Rest assured there is still plenty of time to head to the overwhelming powder in the mountains to test the true limits of Ski-Doo, or charge out into the muskeg and push the limits until a winch is required on our Can-Am® ATVs and side by sides.
