We are a globally distributed technology company that operates out of South Africa and North America. We create innovative eCommerce products and solutions that empower thousands of businesses and entrepreneurs around the world. Grenade was founded in the year 2012 in Johannesburg, South Africa. At the time, we developed and implemented web and mobile solutions for publishers and medium-to-large companies across Africa. While we still continue to provide services to companies of various sizes, much has changed since our humble beginnings. Over the years, we have built a number of digital products in our spare time that we have tried to sell online. Most of them have failed. However, our flagship product called FooEvents has altered that trajectory and, in a very short space of time, has grown into a full event management product suite comprising of six extensions and three mobile apps that are used by thousands of businesses around the globe (and possibly in space). We’re hoping to replicate this success with our recently launched point of sale solution called FooSales. We aim to become a next-level eCommerce solutions provider, empowering other businesses and entrepreneurs in the process. Due to the global nature of our products and our pioneering company culture, Grenade has become a distributed business with small teams in South Africa and North America.
