The CRDA recently engaged the NHL’s leading firm SCI (solely responsible for the recent billion-dollar renovation of NYC’s Madison Square Garden) to design a renovation/expansion of Hartford’s XL Center to an NHL state of the art arena for only $250 million with renovation to include increased seating, adding of an entirely new second concourse, fan amenities, and overhaul the arena’s 40 year old utility systems. The ice system was recently replaced and will rank as one of the best ice surfaces in the NHL!!
