Mission Statement - Helping Up Mission provides hope to the poor and homeless. We do this through programs designed to meet their individual physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs. Helping Up Mission is faith-based, Christ-centered; yet, we serve anyone needing our help to the fullest extent that our resources allow. Helping Up Mission serves 500 men everyday in four primary programs and services: 1. Overnight Guest Services - providing shelter, food, and support services for up to 50 men experiencing true homelessness each day. 2. Spiritual Recovery Program - 1-year residential program for men striving to break the grip of alcoholism and/or drug addiction. 3. Graduate Transitional Housing - Up to 50 graduates of the Spiritual Recovery Program can stay as many as 24 additional months in separate semi-private dorm-style rooms (2-4 per room). 4. Graduate Intern Program - for as many as 15-18 men continuing their connection with the Mission in a non-paid Internship for 1 year. Some interns transition to full-time paid employment in the Mission. Others gain employable skills in program administration, operations, maintenance, and other disciplines. Helping UP Mission, Incorporated operates as a non-profit organization. The Organization offers addiction and homelessness treatment services. Helping UP Mission serves communities in the State of Maryland.
