Shalimar Hotel has a perfect location for business as well as leisure travelers in the twin cities of Rawalpindi & Islamabad. Shalimar group was formed in 1983 under the leadership of Mian Muhammad Ateeq Sheikh, who is the founder chairman of the group. Started its first project to produce the premium quality chipboard at an undeveloped area of North West Frontier of Pakistan with the motive to provide livelihood to the people of that remote region. This unit was established to effectively recycle the waste of wood and sugar cane industry and transform it into a value added product of Particleboard also known as Chipboard. This concern shows our commitment towards environment protection and this also reflects in our brand name recognized as “GREEN BOARD”. There after group experienced a tremendous growth and development in the last two decades by increasing the projects and adding new companies under the umbrella of Shalimar group. Originally the plan was to constitute a company, which was converted into a group of industries only to manufacture the construction materials but afterward seeing the developments of the country and region it was decided to also expand into trading and servicing Industry. Hotel Shalimar is the out come of that development and working style presently various companies are running successfully as the sister concern under the flag of Shalimar Group.
