Brothers Benjamin and Stefan Huss are the brains behind Huss Group. While holidaying in Australia in 2004, Stefan experienced the live-gaming thrill of lasergame and decided there and then that they simply had to bring the idea back to their homeland of Germany. Soon after, he founded Lasergame Group, which today has branches in 16 countries in Europe and has secured a position as a market leader in toy weapons and live-gaming. While establishing Lasergame, Benjamin developed an interest in the thriving entrepreneurial scene, and he has acquired a number of promising companies since 2014. In addition to their desire to create and support growth within the start-up sector, Stefan and Benjamin recognised the value of gathering a portfolio of innovative companies across diverse sectors under one umbrella. Through this approach, Huss Group now has a diverse set of skills and competencies that facilitate collaboration across industries and on an international platform. Over time, Huss Group has established a wide-reaching network and sound experience in economic development, sales, management and marketing, making it possible to support start-ups in Africa and Europe alike. Besides entrepreneurship, Stefan and Benjamin are passionate about sport. With several sponsorships themselves, they know what it takes to make a successful deal in sport. They use this experience to advise companies on the best way to use sport to advertise their product. Huss Group has three focus areas – Lasergame, Investment and Advisory. It is of the utmost importance to Stefan and Benjamin to pass on the experience they gained from establishing Lasergame to the start-ups they work with. In their work with entrepreneurs, they provide so much more than funding alone. They believe that securing the optimal team with the right skills is the key to establishing a successful company, and that capital comes second. In addition to investment, they work as mentors for young start-ups.
