In 1977, Independence Recycling, Inc. began its crushing operation with a stationary jaw crusher at an existing dump site in Garfield Heights, Ohio. In its first year of operation, Independence crushed a total of 50,000 tons of material. In the early 1980s, Independence grew geographically outside the Northeast Ohio region to other markets. Independence Recycling’s first job in a new market was Rickenbacker Air Force Base in Columbus, Ohio. Today, Independence Recycling has 12 portable crushing plants and crushes an average of 50,000 tons per week. Operations for Independence Recycling continue to flourish, as the company now maintains six concrete recycling facilities in Florida and two in Ohio. Our field management team is one of the strongest in the industry. On average, our superintendents have worked with the company for more than 15 years. We combine the experience and tradition of our veterans with the fresh perspective of our new estimators, project engineers, and tradesmen. Independence Recycling of Florida, Inc. was founded in 1986. The company's line of business includes providing wrecking and demolition services.
