Jordans Solicitors has offices in Wakefield, Dewsbury, Horsforth, Selby and Penistone. The firm has 4 directors. The firm was founded over 70 years ago, originally under the name of Milford Crosland and Co. Neil Jordan joined, after his war service, and the firm became Crosland Jordan and Company. The firm remained a family business and Neil’s son, Robert Jordan, joined in 1982 after practising the family trade in one of London’s largest law firms. Jordans has always been a highly ambitious firm and has been home to many excellent lawyers, many of whom went on to join the judiciary: Robert Jordan was invited to join the judiciary in 1999 and just a few years later his successor, Fred Rutherford also became a member of the judiciary. Jordans has gone from strength to strength, it was the first legal practice in the Kirklees area to be awarded the Law Society’s prestigious Lexcel Quality Mark. This practice management standard is only awarded to solicitors who meet the highest management and customer care standards. Jordans Solicitors main offices also hold APIL (Association of Personal Injury Lawyers) Accreditation and has bi-lingual staff. Jordans continually seeks to be at the cutting edge of its field, whilst also holding dear its local ties. This is illustrated by the most recent venture, expanding into fixed fee online services. Jordans was established in Blackheath by John Jordan in 1990. We have grown since then and now have two separate offices, in Blackheath and Halesowen, and three distinct departments, each headed by a specialist in that area.
