KIDS vzw Communicatieve beperking Het KIDS wil een antwoord bieden op de zorgvragen van gezinnen, van kinderen en (jong)volwassenen met een communicatieve beperking. In een aangepaste materiële omgeving willen wij in één geheel onderwijs, revalidatie, opvoeding en begeleiding aanbieden. Deze hulp wordt aangeboden onder de vorm van verblijf, dagopvang, mobiele begeleiding, dagbesteding. Wij streven naar continuïteit in de begeleiding. Rekening houdend met de eigenheid van de persoon en de handicap streven we maximale ontplooiing na. Kennis- en expertise Wij willen flexibel en kritisch inspelen op nieuwe ontwikkelingen, om een vooruitstrevende rol te blijven spelen in de begeleiding van onze doelgroepen. Wij willen een kennis- en expertisecentrum zijn waarop cliënt en context een beroep kunnen doen. Katholieke inspiratie Wij vertrekken vanuit een christelijke inspiratie met eerbied voor andere levensvisies. Dit resulteert in een erkenning van en diep respect voor de persoon met een handicap en zijn gezin. Wij zijn ervan overtuigd dat deze gezinnen, kinderen en (jong)volwassenen recht hebben op een (h)echte plaats in de samenleving.
