Kalico Kitchen has helped Richmond celebrate for over 30 years; creating custom wedding cakes and other special occasion cakes. We are a family owned bakery, ensuring your cake reflects your style and tastes great too! Carolyn Mattox started Kalico Kitchen in 1980, and has enjoyed designing and decorating wedding cakes for countless clients. Over the years, Carolyn has taken classes from artists such as Nicholas Lodge, Roland-Winbeckler, and many others. She is also a member of ICES. While Carolyn is semi-retired, she still enjoys meeting with brides and designing wedding cakes. Jeni Mauney, being raised in the business, has enjoyed cake decorating from childhood. It wasn't until about 10 years ago that she became serious about decorating and took over the management of the business from her mother, Carolyn Mattox. Jeni loves the variety this work offers and enjoys meeting with clients and seeing each cake through from start to finish. She is a busy wife and mother of two, but enjoys 'playing in icing'.
