Karate World Surfside Beach has served the community since 1995 and offers Karate and Martial Arts classes to children and adults. Day and evening classes are available for multiple skill levels as well as adult physical fitness classes. We concentrate on American Karate instruction as well as Self Defense, Kick Boxing, Jiu-Jitsu, Fitness Goals, and much more! As a good neighbor, Karate World gives back to the community and the local schools with participation in programs such as Toys for Tots, Food Drives, Beach Sweeps, Teacher Appreciation Gift programs, Honor Roll programs, and clothing and food drives for Fostering Hope. Chief Instructor and Owner, Jason began his karate training in 1984 under Master Gene Lewis in Mullins, South Carolina. He received his adult black belt in 1990 and served four years as a U.S. Marine before opening Karate World in 1995. His love of physical fitness, teaching, and community involvement makes Karate World an ideal place for students to develop their own leadership skills. Our Programs Include: Lil Dragons: Children 3-5 years of age learn to improve their motor skill, strength, & coordination. Beginner Karate: Children 5-12 years of age learn to work towards goals & achieve them. Intermediate Karate: Children 5-12 years of age - completed Beginner’s Class ready for more training & mastery. Adult Morning Fitness Class: Adults work towards fitness goals. Adult Evening Class: American Karate instruction, Self Defense, Kick Boxing, Jiu-Jitsu, & more! Adult Private Classes: Adult Private & Semi-Private Lessons - personalized & accelerated training. Advanced Black Belt Karate: The experienced & highly dynamic technique driven student. Jiu-Jitsu & Black belt Club: "Add-on” class for Junior Yellow Belts and higher ranked students. Private Classes: Private & Semi-Private Lessons - personalized and accelerated training. Family Classes: 2 family members at regular price and everyone else is FREE!
