Kasznar Leonardos Intellectual Property is a Brazilian intelllectual property law firm, formed by patent & trademark attorneys and lawyers. Beginning its operations on May 1, 2012, when the restructuring of Momsen, Leonardos & Cia (ML&Cia) was completed, Kasznar Leonardos Intellectual Property (or simply Kasznar) is formed by seven partners who jointly owned 62,8% of the equity capital of ML&Cia, and by another 12 partners and approximately 180 employees, all previously working at ML&Cia. The name Kasznar Leonardos is inspired by some of the founding partners of the new firm. One of them is the renowned IP expert Elisabeth Kasznar Fekete, who has worked in Momsen, Leonardos & Cia for 32 years – 27 of them as the head of the São Paulo Office – and who, now, at Kasznar Leonardos, continues to perform the excellent work she has always done. The other founding partners who give name to the firm are Filipe and Gabriel Leonardos. Filipe is a reputed trademark lawyer and Gabriel is a celebrated lawyer, active in IP litigation and licensing. Kasznar counts on four more senior partners – Denise Dale, Eduardo Rosman, Gustavo Barbosa and João Vianna, who run the Patent Department – and other 12 partners with varied backgrounds. Besides that, the firm benefits from the daily presence and invaluable advice of the engineer and former partner of Momsen, Maurício Leonardos, who has more than five decades of experience in patents.
