MAD is an artist initiative grown into a professional organisation in the field of art & technology. Pioneering since 1995, now acting as facility, knowledge center and event organiser. Focussed on the mediation of emerging technology into society and culture, MAD is developing fertile ground for connections and collaboration between high tech companies and institutes and artistic community members. The MAD portfolio of productions is a long list of art installations, exhibitions, festivals, hackathons, network events, publications and more. The network MAD is adressing is a challenging mix of technology and creativity related organisations, individuals, communities, government, non-profits, businesses. MAD also operates as an angel investor for early start-ups, inventors and movements. Fostering several Meetups, hackerspace Eindhoven, Maker Faire, Lean Startup, Internet of Things MAD is actively pushing the change.
