National Aluminium Co. Ltd. is an integrated aluminum manufacturer. The Company mines for bauxite, refines bauxite into aluminum and manufactures and sells aluminum and aluminum products. National Aluminium Company's products include bauxite, aluminum hydrate, calcined aluminum, aluminum ingots and aluminum wire rods, as well as electricity which is generated for captive consumption. National Aluminium is among India's largest producers of aluminum and related products. Founded in 1981, the company's operations encompass the entire aluminum production process, from bauxite mining to alumina refining to aluminum smelting and casting. Its business also includes power generation and port activities. National Aluminium manufactures a line of aluminum products that includes rolled aluminum, wire rods, cast strips, billets, and alumina hydrate. It also plans a joint venture to produce titanium. In addition to engaging in a healthy domestic trade, National Aluminium exports its products elsewhere in Asia, the Persian Gulf, and the US; exports account for more than a third of business.
