We provide pro bono legal assistance in tax controversy matters to low income people and families. Being at odds with the IRS can be stressful and confusing, and the consequences for failing to pay taxes correctly can be onerous. Often, low income people have few or no resources to help them navigate such a situation effectively. The North Georgia Low Income Taxpayer Clinic strives to provide clear, competent, and compassionate legal services to low income people in controversies with the IRS. Our goal is to help our clients resolve their tax issues in a way that helps them move towards financial stability. In addition to aiding our low income clients, the North Georgia Low Income Taxpayer Clinic engages in outreach efforts to educate the members of its community about various tax issues that affect everyday people.
