The Orthodoxe Parish Amersfoort is a Dutch, hollandophonic Orthodox Parish. Her crew comes from 23 different countries. She belongs to the Diocese of The Hague and The Netherlands of the Russian Orthodox Church of the Patriarchate of Moscow. The diocese is directed by Hid Grace Archbishop SSimon of Brusseld and All Belgium. Since her foundation in 1981 the parish has been a mission-post and a refugium for Orthodox Christians who had to flee their home country. Communist, post- communist and especially mohammedan persecutions drove people into our arms. Our task has increasingly become to offer them shelter, an ecclesiastical home .
