Set on an ancient coconut plantation on the southern tip of Gili Trawangan, Pondok Santi Estate offers simplified luxury and the ultimate getaway retreat. Our 18 beautifully-appointed private bungalows are designed as exclusive sanctuaries amongst the Estate’s seven hectares of lawned grounds. Established in 2005, Pondok Santi Estate was created by New Zealand bungy jumping pioneer and entrepreneur, AJ Hackett. With the vision of a tropical sanctuary, AJ and his team transformed seven hectares of ancient coconut plantation into the stunning resort it is today. The sprawling Estate is situated in a way that invites a refreshing sea breeze throughout the day, keeping temperatures slightly cooler than the rest of the island. Cooling white stone paths meander through our lush gardens, shaded by coconut palms, linking all areas of the Estate. Relax on one of the 10 thatched-roof daybeds scattered around the Estate, or recharge at the infinity edge pool where snacks and cold drinks can be ordered direct from the pool bar. Experience elevated dining and indulge in the finest wine and cuisine on the island at Santi Restaurant & Lounge Bar. Catch the sunset and a cocktail or two at Santi Beach Bar, overlooking the sparkling sea with Lombok in the distance. Escape the crowds at Pondok Santi’s exclusive private beach – complete with comfy day beds, hammocks, towels, and refreshments to order. Our private beach meets the stunning turquoise waters, with Gili Trawangan’s only surf break and one of its best dive spots just offshore.
