Powderham Castle is one of the most pioneering estates in the country and enjoys a unique, picturesque setting within an ancient deer park beside the Exe estuary, just south of Exeter. Over 600 years of history can be discovered within the walls of one of Devon's oldest family homes and in 2016 it was also the home of BBC Radio One's Big Weekend, hosting international musical giants such as Mumford and Sons, Coldplay and Ellie Goulding. Powderham Castle is open to the public between March and October, with a full range of attractions that makes it a full-days visit.
